Friend, programs supporting children and families in New Jersey are currently on the line and need your help. The Governor’s proposed budget for the next nine months includes substantial reductions to school-based youth programs, programs supporting post-adoption counseling, juvenile justice, early intervention services for young children with developmental delays and more (see pages 27-32 for a list of proposed departmental cuts). TAKE ACTION: Advocates have until Friday, September 11th to tell the Assembly and Senate Budget committees why these programs are so important for our children and why they need continued funding. Help us by sharing how your child benefitted from one of these programs and speak out against the proposed budget cuts. Send an email to the legislative budget committees and make your voice heard. |
