Home Visiting: A Lifeline for Families During the Pandemic and Beyond

Early childhood home visiting programs have played a powerful role in supporting parents through the COVID-19 crisis. Home visitors are rising to the occasion, reaching and supporting families in incredible ways. This week, with the release of our Home Visiting Pandemic Snapshot, ACNJ has organized virtual visits with members of New Jersey’s congressional delegation to discuss and advocate for this critical program, as well as other supports including child care. Help amplify the importance of home visiting to lawmakers with our easy-to-use social media toolkit!

As policymakers set their priorities for the year and make decisions that will impact today’s babies and families, we urge you to raise your voice and tell Congress to invest in a strong foundation for our children..

#KidsAreEssential: Invest in their Futures

As the nation attempts to recover and rebuild from COVID-19, we must focus on the needs of children and their families—particularly in the prenatal to three period— or we risk creating a generation of children further behind than any other in recent history. That is why our national partners are launching #KidsAreEssential. Our society needs to invest in kids and their families as early as possible because child development doesn't stop when crises happens. It’s time to address the economic, racial, and health disparities that were made worse by the pandemic.
