Time to Remind Our State Legislators:
Don’t Forget to Make Babies a Priority in the Next Budget!

Right now, Governor Murphy and our state legislators are hammering out the details of its funding priorities for the FY 2021 budget. We need to remind them that one of those top priorities must be our babies!!!

Even before the pandemic, many families with very young children struggled with affordable child care, paid family leave, family support through home visitation, healthy social-emotional development of their children and maternal and infant health issues. These issues have only become more significant during these last few months and we need to tell our legislators that the next state budget—no matter how difficult—should prioritize the needs of young children and their families.
