Be a voice for New Jersey's Children!
Attend DHS' Budget Listening Session

No stakeholder receiving Department of Human Services (DHS) funds should
miss this opportunity!

The DHS Budget Listening Session provides stakeholders with a chance to tell state leaders what children in the Garden State need as they plan the FY 2020-2021 budget. There have been recent state laws and policies affecting programs, staff, families and children and your insight is invaluable.

Let DHS know about:

  • The impact that the increase in the minimum wage is having on programs, staff and family eligibility and the need for additional subsidy funding to offset the wage increases
  • The impact that preschool expansion is having on child care enrollment
  • The role that increased funding for family child care can play to address infant/toddler child care deserts

Individuals wishing to testify have the option of providing oral (for no more than 3 minutes) or written testimony. To register, call 609-292-3703 or email Nancy Worrell at nancy.worrell@dhs.state.nj.us. If you have any questions or need assistance, contact Cynthia Rice at crice@acnj.org.
